ABOUT bonnie
.........................
A Southerner at heart, Bonnie Kaye Whitfield resides in South Kensington, Philadelphia with her husband, a second year med school student, and their handsome pitbull, Wythe.  She is trained as an arts educator (BFA from The University of Georgia '04) and later as a printmaker (MFA from Pratt Institute '10).  While living in Brooklyn for six years, she developed a love for product design, thanks to working as an assistant to luxury designer Eduardo Garza, and a deep understanding of printmaking, thanks to studying under artist Dennis McNett.  For three years, she co-founded and ran Kaye Rachelle Designs, a collaborative line of screen-printed textiles and housewares.  In 2014, she branched out on her own to design and print small-batch textiles under the label, Bonnie Kaye Studio.  She is also on faculty with The Mural Arts Program, teaching an Art + Business class after school to high school students.  When she's not in the studio, she's getting her hands dirty in her garden.

ABOUT the blog
...........................
The Print Garden is a collection of daily print & design inspiration.  My hearts lies in the work of my hands and the creative energy from other artists.  Here, I share my design process of Bonnie Kaye Studio and celebrate the work of so many other talented creatives, primarily inky printmakers, textile artists, and pattern designers.  And yes, I also celebrate weekend adventures.

This blog is based out of Philadelphia, PA.
